Shutter Speeds


What is shutter speed?
  1. The time for which a shutter is open at a given setting.

How shutter speed works both technically (in camera) and visually (in photo).

In the camera it's how fast or how slow the lens takes to open and close depending on the setting you have it on.

The relationship to the exposure triangle.

You can use it to freeze a picture or blur it. The exposure can be triangle's features (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) can be used to enhance the picture.
